- A1 out of Edinburgh
- After about 10 miles, take the exit for A198 (Longniddry)
- Stay on A198, over the first roundabout
- 3rd exit at the next roundabout (A198)
- Go through Longniddry village and keep left on A198
- Follow the road down to the T-junction; turn right
- Follow the coastal road for about 6 miles, through Aberlady to
Gullane village.
- After passing the golf courses and getting into the village, look
for a small road (Sandy Loan) off to the left with walls either side.
There used to be a small sign 'To the beach' but haven't checked
recently.
- Follow the road until you get to a T-Junction
- Turn left to the car park.
- In the summer, the car park costs about a pound.

| Notes: |
Gullane is one of the most picturesque beaches on the South side
of the Firth of Forth; golden sands and a lovely bay. On windy days,
this is where most of the windsurfing population of Edinburgh will
head; from the University boys to the more senior participants.
Works well in a Westerly, better if there is a little bit of North
in it.
Only bummer is the walk down to the beach from the car park; going
down is bad; bringing the kit back up at the end of the day is
much worse.
Great bunch of people to be found there, most of them are friendly!
